Benson Hospital's emergency department is a state-certified Level IV trauma center. As a Level IV trauma center, Benson Hospital has demonstrated the ability to provide advanced trauma life support including evaluation, stabilization and diagnostic capabilities for injured patients. The hospital has transfer agreements with other regional trauma centers for patients who require more comprehensive care.Working closely with the other departments within the facility, the Emergency Department physicians and nurses are able to treat many potentially life-threatening incidents and illness right here within the community. Our Emergency Department is designed to streamline the process while simultaneously keeping patients and their families informed.
